Monday: Went out in the evening, promised I would get better at drums on GH by august, danced for more than 2h non-stop, felt bad on way home, didn't see girl he was kinda seeing
Tuesday: Returned to Brighton, got proper 100% dumped by girl (Facebook status changed to Single was the hint)
Wednesday: Brought GH:WT and set it up, went to see Combichrist.
Combichrist gig was awesome.
Openning act, Uberbyte, well still not great but certainly better than when I last saw them, which was intresting as the singer was fscked due to it being his b'day and the guys from Combichrist tied him to a chair and forced him to drink loads the night before *chuckles* Net result of this being that, towards the end of the Combichrist set they got him on stage, had everyone sing Happy B'day to him and then stuck what looked like a cake, but according to a loud guy at the station on the way home, was infact an ash tray full of... well, ash... in his face... much to everyones amusement [grin]
Second support, Aesthetic Perfection, were pretty good I thought, although the singer had a tendancy to smile strangely slightly too much for my liking, however they nicely got the crowd moving.
As for CombiChrist.. well, what can I say? Awesome gig was awesome and over 2h later I still have the sound of a few 100 people yelling "this shit will fuck you up" ringing in my ears.
Certainly know how to put on a good show with the two drums throwing drum sticks at each other and generally wreaking their drums [lol] Which is pretty much how we knew it was over, as the band wreaked the stage and wandered off.
Once outside due to some luck I happened to get in a few photos with z_marr, the guy on keyboards, which was pretty cool. Granted, I don't do the whole 'star struck' thing but even so... as he wandered off I gave myself and my mate a little salute which I returned (I do that anyway to people, heh).
Tomorrow/today;
A combination of rest, GH:WT, my own music and if I can leave the house I need to take a serious look at a gym as far far FAR too many people of late have been commenting on my weight gain which isn't good [sad]
They did This Shit Will Fuck You Up and then What The Fuck Is Wrong With You People as an encore, which was a little odd, I thought they'd finish with This Shit Will Fuck You Up...
