Kinda side-stepping recently...

Moving a lot of data over to Lua, making it easier to organise, load & mod.

Added new weapon: clusterbomb thingies :) Nice area destruction now possible, if you find it hard aiming Mr Quaker.

Making all weapons available to the island defense drones & turrets, and making their attack patterns dependent on their current weapon. Lots more variety now, and easier to get your ass destroyed :P

This game is so close, I can almost smell the sweet scent of an Avatar Chemical Laser smoking in the morning...

Minus the main enemy AI, it is getting close at last..! :)

Once the other game bits are in though, it should be pretty straightforward to get basic enemy AI placeholders in, which can then be refined in parts over time.

Methinks you already have some sort of enemy carrier concept drawn out. Something awesome. Also, drones attacking your carrier with clusterbombs is gonna suck.

Right, never should let it get so close. I'm sure no one would object to an auto air defense turret or two. I'd load mine down with SAMs

Drones attacking only with lasers gets old real fast I've found.

There are quite a few areas where the original game wouldn't stand up to today's expectations. After all, it's basically the same procedure over and over. Need to spice things up a little :)
