It's quite amazing - my research of "casual indie games" showed a conversion rate of about 5% on average.

So far, I have had several hundred downloads of Gemstars (via my site and affiliates) and managed to achieve 0%!

Either my sales are falling into a financial black hole somewhere outside my control, or my game sucks bad and no-one will tell me! So far, all the feedback I've had is positive, and constructive criticism (and nothing I don't already know).

Such are the joy's of indie dev? I'll have to get my deep space telescope out and try to find this Black Hole...
