Competition day #1 summary.
Me and couple my friends started something we like to call 'Little 4 Elements'. It's based on gdnet's 4E, only you have 1 week to make a FULL game. Only rule is - if the game isn't completed, it does not count.
Elements that were chosen (randomly) were scissors, breadcrumbs, glitter and knuckles. From those I've decided to make a Pacman clone, with a twist. Scissors is the player character, enemies are stones, if you enter 'glitter mode' (ie, eat a power pill) they turn to paper. Breadcrumbs are used instead of normal pills. The twist is that Scissors can cut through reality and effectively make portals.
The graphics are nowhere near final, they were pulled from my other projects. So far I have managed to do level loading and have actors. Today I'll add basic gameplay mechanics and player movement.
