Jerry, again. I know it's been a while, so now i'm going to fill you in. Today, February 14th, was a bad day. Our secondary graphics designer, Art Flemming, resigned today, because his wife was going to have a baby, and he needed to get a smaller part-time job. Valentines day, so I let all the guys hang with their girlfriends while I was working with Chester on the code. Well, I hope we get more done tomorrow.
Alright. Another day is over. Well, today was a very unproductive day. Today we were supposed to have at least have of the default character model done. But Chester Williams (programmer and graphics designer) screwed up the file type, so now we have to start again from scratch. We are using a website called http://www.turbosquid.com/ to sell tileable textures made using the newest version of photoshop. That way we can get some extra cash without taking up too much of our time. Well, I guess that's it.
About ten minutes ago, someone asked me what scripting language they should start to learn. You see, about 4 or 5 years ago, I probably would have told them C++ or something like that. And that made me think. Do you think that people are going to quit scripting C++ games and only make games using Python?
My last post for today, guys. Time to hit the sack.
This is certainly not the first day of process for our game, but we got a lot done today. Today, February 10th, 2010, the graphics designers were retrieving/creating bmp textures for usage on the ground for most of the game. The head art designer, Art Flemming (Oh,the irony) and his team worked on icon development and started the work on the character sprites. It was certainly a long day, but lots of work was finished today. I am ending this post at 10:54 with a coffee in one hand.
