My First Game Title... or Not?...

[size="3"]Rogue Entertainment (If you haven't read the post about where Meteora originates then you will not understand the Rogue Entertainment reference) decided to produce their first product. A 3D Action/Shooter/RPG/GTA-IV/Saints Row type game called Bucky. The main character was set to be officially 'mentally retarded', and he basically got sick of being picked on so he just explodes and goes on a mission. The game was titled: Bucky's Revenge. Being the developer of the game (and the only developer) I went ahead and changed the title to "Origin of Bucky", so I could make the pressure not as intense. The first game in every series is *USUALLY* not the developers' best. Well at this time I was already working on a title, "SuperRPG". Basically it was a python script thrown into a loop to make it RPG-ish. It is still in production to this day (Apr 4th, 2011) and it was my first priority. Well long story short I got sick of the arguments between me and the other President (Company Fuhrer was his official title) so I became Meteora and started speeding up development of SuperRPG. As it stands right now (still Apr 4th), I do not wish to participate in Bucky, or even Rogue Entertainment. I hope to eventually get picked up by a development team and then once I get "the skills to pay the bills", I will branch out to a bigger company, hopefully working my way up corporate ladder until I reach a big game developer like Blizzard, or BioWare. I do wish to work for XGen Studios at some point in my career though! There is where I will hopefully establish the official Meteora developing team. So yeah, SuperRPG is my real first game title. Every idea in this command-line RPG is mine. I am currently in the progress of transferring what I have done in Python2.6 into a C++ IDE called Code::Blocks. It is coming along, although I am stuck. The syntax is pretty much alike but JUST different enough so that I got stuck. That was the story of how my ACTUAL, REAL, FIRST GAME TITLE, "SuperRPG" became my current project.




About Meteora and Where This Team Originates

[size="3"]One day me and one of my best-friends decided to make a productions company and name it "Rogue Entertainment". http://rogue-entertainment.webs.com (if you are truly interested) Well long story short, my friend likes to believe that coding isn't that hard (although he has no coding ability at all) and that we can magically use some other game's engine to make our first game. I kept repeating myself that I don't know how engines work, I barely know what they do let alone how to work one. I know how to code my own BASIC engine, of how controls and stats work, but that's IT. Well eventually I figured that I will someday need to get a team of developers together and decided to create Meteora, my developing team. My forum name is Meteora, based on the sole fact that I am Meteora. I'm the only team member. Probably because I'm a newbie coder and nobody really likes to teach or help out or join a newbie coder. Well I sign up as Meteora representing my future dream, although most of the times I go by Foxx and my title in the company is Company President or Lead Developer Foxx. So that's where Meteora came from, a dream summoned in the depths of my imagination. Hopefully it will come true but who knows. I don't.
