Day 1 - "Engineering the Cores"


I start official work on Last. This is an engine mainly for a 2D RPG. I want to bring back the old school fun of games like FF2 and Chrono Trigger with a modern title that is just friggin huge. With today's hard drive space and processing power I should be able to make the biggest old school 2D RPG ever made. Story and Sprites are done. It is now just a matter of applying what I have been doing in school. I am just now starting to get it. The engine will use DirectX and OpenGL and I will be making a java/c++ hybrid so I can easily transfer to a droid type environment. Imagine a bad-ass RPG on the Droid. Think a darker more modern earthbound.
