WOA-5 day -7

hey guys, so here is the final day... Me and Anomaly didnt had  a lot of time but still managed to complete the game. This last day was stressfull... For the last two days we didnt had much time so done mostly nothing. Today we started to work from the middle of the day and finished like 20 minutes until the deadline. The game looks kinda bad because the level was done in the last 4 hours and we didnt really had time to check all the mechanics. We had some traps made but didnt managed to implement them, After finishing this game we come to  the conclusion about the people who says that unity is bad engine(the games that they know  probably  looks like ours). But all in all we are satisfied with that we made in the time that we had. If the time will let we will probably participate and on another year. So thats all.

WOA-5 day -4

hey guys, sorry for not posting anything a day before. Me and Anomaly were very busy so managed to do not much(nothing). Today we tried to do a bit more as there is not much time left. So I managed to do things like meniu, respawning, and HP system. Anomaly was working on our players stealth mechanics and alarm thingy for enemies(which triggered will call all the bullies from neighborhood). So i guess thats all. Would like to put some pictures, but we still use boxes as our characters so see no point as it still looks the same.  Tomorrow we will be putting animations on and will start to implement the level design. So will hopefully have enough time to do it and will manage to put some nice pictures.

WOA-5 day -2

Hey guys, it seems that the second day of competition has come to the end.... On this day we was futher polishing the idea of our game. We have managed to create enemy AI which reacts to the player if it comes to the light. We made some other things like enemy movement or attacking behaviours. Tomorrow we are thinking of working on our player mechanics to make it look more like a stealth like game as well making some more complex traps. At the  end I've added random picture to show our progress, but you wont be able to see a lot from it as we still dont have a proper modules implemented xD(we were to lazy to make a video). So that is all for now....  Until the next time !!!

WOA-5 day -1

hey guys!!! So this is our first year, while participating in this competition. Both me and Anomaly are programmers so i am not sure how this will go on. Today we mostly planned of that we are going to do and how our project should look like. So Anomaly wanted to do something related to assasin topic that would have stealth based mechanics(dark, scary 3d game where you go around killing people). AS for me my idea was to do 2d side scroller about friendly alien, who came to medieval times and was beaten and robed of his ship(help him to get it back, or run from circus in which he was put).  so at the end we tried to look for compromise and that is the conclusion that we got. The themes we've chosen are assassination and castles, however due to the potential inclusion of different assets such as traps, it might ultimately also fit under the "chain effect" category.
The game is aimed to be a rather simplistic 3D perspective-locked side scroller of sorts -- I think we'll call it "Castle Crawler" to better reflect the setting. The game is ultimately planned to consist of multiple levels with the end goal on each of them to assassinate a certain person under certain conditions, such as being undetected.
The main challenges for this week will be building the stealth mechanics and the AI of the enemy units. Of course, the biggest challenge of them all is finding the right assets and using them correctly. Pretty tough to do with two programmers alone Best of luck to everyone else and forth to awesome games!
