Asphalt 9: Legends Review -- Sleek Racing Game With The Sole Purpose Of Increasing Adrenaline

Racing video games become scarce nowadays, especially the good one. Sometimes a racing game got mixed up with a over-complicated story that resulted in a bad action racing game. What could make a racing game... a racing game? Loud noise from the engine, fast-paced car, challenging tracks, turbos, the thrill of successfully executing a drift across the track. Well, Asphalt 9: Legends have it all. With more than 10 titles under it's belt, Gameloft still nailing it of making an exceptional racing video game. Author says Asphalt 9: Legends might take the crown.
Astonishing Visual
For a smartphone video game, the graphic of Asphalt 9: Legends is truly a masterpiece. Be it in the sunny sunshine of San Francisco, or the dusty mountain hill in Scotland, to the highly-detailed reflection of the car, it's one of the best. You can even see the rain dripping down the camera, which makes the racing more authentic, the dust spreading through the track with your car, giving the race feeling more action, every time you enter a track race, there's always something new that catches your attention, and that's what make the visual of this game one of the best.
New Control, Same Fast Action Race
Asphalt 9: Legends introduce new control, called Touch Drive. Much like an endless runner game, you swipe the screen to control your car, whether you change your direction in the track, avoiding obstacles along the track, or smashing your opponents into pieces. The acceleration and turns is automatically handled by the system, allowing you to learn every nook and cranny the game offer you. If you're feeling like Touch Drive might not be your style, Asphalt 9: Legends also have another control, which is a classic to another game of the same genre, Tilt to Steer and Tap to Steer, which allow you to be more in control of your car. Every control has it's own pros and cons, but still it doesn't effect the thrill this game has to offer in every track and challenges.
Online-Only Policy Limit It's Potential
Like every other free-to-play games with micro transaction in it, it only allow you to play the game if you're online. It might be necessary to prevent any form of cheating of it's in-app purchase, still I don't think it's really necessary. Imagine this, if you don't have internet connectivity and you're bored, what would you do? Play video games. The game itself has a lot to offer, and it requires time to explore everything the game have, and if you always need to be online all the time, people might not play the game too often and it's a problem. Perhaps we will see some improvement to address the issue in the future. Satisfying Racing Game In The Palm Of Your Hand
The online-only is annoying, yes, but it doesn't change the fact that Asphalt 9: Legends offers you a complete package of racing video game. High action racing with a "fast-as-a-flash" car, astounding visual on your screen accompanied by killer soundtrack, is what a adrenaline-seeker want. It is one of the best video game racing to download right now.
