I just noticed, David Lynch has a new film comming out.

He says...

Quote:
"I've never worked on a project in this way before. I don't know exactly how this thing will finally unfold... This film is very different because I don't have a script.

I wasn't aware that any of his previous films had scripts!!

I kid, I kid... :)

I just realised that I have seen every David Lynch film, and the only ones I actually get are The Elephant Man, Dune, and The Lost Highway (but only partially). Everything else is one big "WTF?".

(By the way, if you don't want to be completely grossed out, don't watch Eraserhead. That was the grossest movie I've ever seen. Even worse than David Cronenberg's stuff).

On lost highway, the guy tells himself that the other guy is dead. He switches bodies with another guy. The movie was enjoyable, but I still don't get it. I've assumed there is an it, but I don't think there's enough information in the movie to reach it's meaning.

The main segment of Mulholland Dr. is a dream sequence. (Hence the "No hay banda - everything is an illusion" sequence to indicate that this is all a dream). The characters are swapped during the dream... the film does make some sort of sense.

I am yet to see Eraserhead; some of Cronenberg's work is indeed pretty revolting, but had nothing on Rob Bottin's creations in Carpenter's The Thing.

Here's my interpretation:

The Lost Highway is a Möbius loop.

It makes sense, doesn't it? A Möbius loop is endless, and switches sides...
