..............
Hey everyone!
Today I pretty much did homework, played some games, and programmed a little on our game. About all I really did was enable actual teams on the map, so hopefully I can get some actual gameplay going on tomorrow at school over the LAN there. Other than that, I just rewrote some more of the rendering code to be more efficient and cut down on the number of huge map-spanning nested for loops. Anyways, it's not that important, but hopefully the gameplay test goes well tomorrow and we can get a demo together for you guys to play soon.
I also made a little video for you guys showing off how the frame independent movement makes the movies cooler, so here it is:

In other news, I'm pretty pissed off at my school right now. About a month ago, I went with 3 other people as a team representing my school to this knowledge competition. Now I'm not usually one for giving up Saturdays for that kind of stuff, but the prize was $1000, and there were only 4 of us on the team, so I thought, "Hey! $250 for being smart, I'll take it!". So off we went, adn we ended upo taking 2nd place, which had an $800 prize, so we still each earned $200. I was pretty happy with the whole thing, and before they gave us the money, I borrowed $200 from my parents to put gas in my airplane for a cross-country flight ($4 a gallon for avgas...) So anyways, the next week, I get a letter from the office telling me that I couldn't get my money because I'm an athlete. So at this point I'm like "What the hell! This is bullshit, the swimming season ended 2 months ago, and this has nothing to do with my ability to swim well". Apparently the fact that I do swim a sport and that I'm good at it automatically voids and cash rewards I earn at school sponsored activities.... yeah WTF. What I don't understand is what the hell being smart has to do with being an athlete, just because I'm "well-rounded", and not just strong in one area, I'm being punished, and that really pisses me off. Anyways, I just had to vent, so thanks for listening[grin]
