I've spent the morning at the Creativity Boot Camp, run by Paul Schuytema. What he's talking about, in his own words, is "how to use the software that your brain is running." He's talked about general maintenance - how to keep a healthy mind, and how to keep a healthy body to support that healthy mind - and then we moved onto some more workshoppy stuff, mental excercises to get the neurons firing. Some of the answers people gave to the creative excercises were hilarious; I'm apparently the only person who exhibited absolutely no pattern in my list of eight random words of five letters or more, with both "mongoose", "credenza", and "alimony" appearing in my list... which likely makes me certifiably insane or something.
The session resumes at 2pm, and hopefully I'll have found myself a pen by then. I'll do a full writeup this evening.
