My favorite part of the old 80's MTV game-show "remote control" was "The Rhetorical Question Channel". In it, they'd ask a rhetorical question, and you lost a point if you actually tried to answer it.

Funniest part was that somebody would inevitably try to answer the question and would lose the point.

Every friggin' time!

Even though they always explained the gag when somebody tried to answer the question on the previous show, somebody would still try to answer the rhetorical question.

MTV officially jumped the shark when they sold that show to a network.
