Sorry!

Spent about 4-5 hours yesterday getting my new video card working. It's functional now, but sadly on a set of old drivers. The latest ones cause any OpenGL or Direct3D apps to freeze my computer. I've got to say that I'm really missing ATI now. :-/

Performance on D3D apps is killer, but OGL quality seems a little low. Doom 3 Demo didn't play as nice as I had hoped. Fingers crossed that Oblivion will run good enough to make up for it. :)

On that note, I'm buying Oblivion today. All projects are on hiatus until further notice. Sorry guys. ;)

(And apologies to Deux. I posted my journal entry only 30 seconds after his; pushing him back a notch. I know how much I hate when that happens to me. >.<)

Nit
I heard that is a good game.

I myself am awaiting a new video card (eVGA GeForce6800GS) ... and a new motherboard, harddrive, cd-dvd rw, ram, processor, etc. I've decided to finally build a new pc (im new to this so im basing my build from www.sharkyextreme.com's march ultimate build). It'll be quite a nice change for me. Right now, my best machine is my laptop (P4 2.4 Ghz, 32MB ATI 7500M). Needless to say, WoW overheats my laptop after about an hour of continuous play. So when i'm in the battlegrounds or fighting some mob, my laptop goes poof, and I have to wait to let it cool down.

Watch out for Oblivion! I picked it up for the 360, and now I have a hard time putting it down (let alone not thinking about it).

It's a great game, just make sure you do a little research about creating your character. Your major attributes are pretty important.

I think we all know what happens when you spend too much time playing Oblivion and not working on other projects...
