you also may know that there is a june deadline for us =)
at this deadline you will know the real name of project2, the game engine will be finished, and the story will be finalized.
this will mark the begining of our development phase, commonly called the kick-off. it is shortly after this time that we solidfy the team (as best we can) send out contracts to everyone and get ready for the long-haul to completion.
Donny has been doing a great job with the editors, and soon he'll start work on our last outstanding large system, the Audio component.
as for me I am making final decisions on the engine's structure and tying all of the discreet systems together to make it function as a data driven engine, and so far it is working excellent.
I most recently finished the Verb system, I am very pleased at how it turned out and I think most people are going to love how the interface feels, it is responsive and easy to use and should make for effortless gameplay.
I have the inventory and the dialogue systems to integrate next, they too should be simple.
Things are really shaping up =)
