Last "feature" completed!

Mike Bossy

As of this morning I can happily say that my current project is "feature" complete. There is still a bunch of polish work that needs to be done like adding the right sounds to the right triggers, getting all the dev art replaced with real art, tuning, general cleanup, but all of the core functionality is now in the game. I'm just going to go with some stock SFX for audio and work on some music myself since in a previous life I was a musician until I needed to pay the bills. After all I'm not looking for a Halo 2 type adaptive sound track. I'm looking for a couple 10 second length loops that can blend into the background. I also need to rationalize the purchase of Abelton Live I made a few months back :).

Of course my biggest piece missing is an artist to do the art but I'm going to start actively looking for someone to do the work. Being self funded I won't be able to afford anything crazy but I have some contacts at some of the "gaming schools" who should be able to find some students willing to make a few extra bucks. If anyone reading this journal is looking for a little contract work on the side or knows someone who is please let me know.
