Putting my money where my mouth is

This morning I finally got around to opening a small business account at my bank. Luckily for me I'm such a valued customer that it was all free to set up and doesn't have any annoying things like a minimum balance and such. My company does seem far more real now that I have money in a business account and such. It's going to feel even more real when I cut my first check to pay for artwork. :)

I'm trying to approaching my company as an investment in myself. Afterall, if I can invest money in the stock market without thinking twice about it why not invest in my own ideas? Especially when the amount of money we're talking about is small in the grand scheme of things. I am prepared to lose it all as a learning experience which will cost far less than even a semester of an MBA program. It's too bad that cute co-eds don't come along with every small business licence. :)
