Undo

It's within that 1-2 weeks that I'm supposed to hear back from last weeks' interviews. I hate waiting and being ready to act friendly and professional in the face of 'sorry, other candidate was a better fit' at any moment is tiring and makes me nervous.

Progress is slow. Off of this thread I got a client command queue (with undo) setup and 'working'. It's a little unwieldy, and not as generic as maybe I would like... It works for test commands though, and it's progress. It did show some benefits of the game-object design focusing on direct variable changes, using events to handle the 'side effects' or implications of a change.

Quite a nice feature to have but is it so different to saving before you make those big decisions?

Is your game deterministic because if it's not then I'll attack.. oh crap failed... undo.. attack and hit! woo!

It's turn based, so the undo only works for that turn's commands. It's also multiplayer, so no command has any results until the player hits end turn and the server processes the command.
