First art rolling in.

My first look at the art I've got contracted out has started to roll in and it looks great! I've gotten so used to my ugly dev art that I forgot what good art looks like :) It's still to early to say that all the art is going to be this good but I'm feeling confident about being able to hit my target date of 7/1 for art complete.

Level design work continues at a fairly slow pace due to a bunch of family responsibilities this week. This type of week is when reality sometimes sinks in on trying to go it alone. When you're working for someone else and family issues arise it's fairly easy to take some unscheduled vacation time or sick leave if it's applicable and still get your regular paycheck. When you're the only one it's a little hard to get things done when things come up. You just need to realize that all plans don't always go as you'd like. Being small means that you should be able to be agile and change things.
