We have been working quite a bit on AG over the last month. Some of the major things accomplished include :
1) Perf improvements to physics
2) Better physics for capsule collisions
3) Perf improvements for non-shadowed lights
4) ambient and rim lighting for entities tweaked
5) better menus, including game re-start and improved side panel
6) blood splatters on walls when damage is taken by an entity
7) tweaked materials, like made the cave walls shiny, and improved metals on the poison level
8) better camera behavior at low fps
9) new glass shader, including fresnel term
10) more randomized ai
11) better metal materials
12) Added spiked ball trap
13) hooked up fan & poison gas emitter
Some of the next things are
0) add symbol and item scanning
1) make entities drop blood over time
2) possibly leave footprint decals
3) make weapons leave different decal types
4) make debris type and on/off dependent on material type
In other news, the game is now pretty playable and quite fun on certain levels. The levels are undergoing some re-work, and should be available for alpha testing over the next couple of weeks. Those interested should contact me here or at simmer@gmail.com.
