Level 5 is almost done

I've completed designing Level 5. Now all I need to do is add the boss and the level will be done. I hadn't given much thought to how the boss will fight, so I need to think about that.

On an unrelated note, I forgot to post my highscore for the first four levels: 46948

That was really hard to get. I did it by using the pistol frequently even when I had better weapons. I also took out any enemy that I possibly could. If there was a bonus for time though, I wouldn't have gotten any of it.

I should also add an item that gives you some points...and an item for ammo. Still quite a bit to do...

Damn, I must really suck at Stompy's Revenge, I'm not even going to post my score[grin]

That made me laugh, I'm going to have to start using the "<blank> is for Communists" phrase in everyday life.

I came up with this idea of Commander Awesome spouting pro-American (specifically pro-republican) pharases. The aforementioned communist line is one, the other is "I voted for George Dubya!". I don't think I would use that one though.

Most of Commander Awesome's phrases came out of me joking around when playing a fighting game against my brother (specifically Marvel vs Capcom 2).

Most important of all, Commander Awesome will have his own game someday. I don't know when though...

Oh here's a wicked twist...

Make Commander Awesome repent his evil ways at the end of the game and then he jumps in a time machine to travel back and time and set things straight. So you fight as Commander Awesome against yourself!

I do like time travel, and the idea of creating a time loop like that in the plot is pretty cool. It would certainly be funny to play through the Commander Awesome game, get to the end, and their he is again as the final boss.
