Raw is finished. Every single feature has been coded in and the rules have received a fair balancing. It only took me a few hours this morning to get the last two features coded in. Then I went through the code removing any magic numbers and placing them at the top of a single header file. Now comes the testing phase. I'll try to find people to playtest it between now and Saturday to get the rules tweaked. On Saturday is the final playtest. Depending on how it is received I will post it on the GDS on Sunday. I was a bit doubtfull that it would be any fun, but after playing it now that its finished, I don't think its that bad.

Since I finished Raw earlier than expected, I began thinking about Sheep Pie as I've come to call my sheep herding game. I have the gameplay concepts pretty clear in my head, so I was thinking about how to render the landscape. I had tons of ideas - each more excruciatingly painfull than the last. I finally gave up and asked in the Graphics Programming & Theory forum. Many thanks to Ilici and okonomiyaki for their responses. They pointed me in the direction of quad trees and terrain LOD. I now have a fairly good idea of how I'm going to program the landscape for the game.

I'll get started on the editor tommorow.
