After mapping out a few minor details of Kingstone, things didn't feel quite right. Things were starting to lose focus. So I'm taking a step back, and re-evaluating my design and seeing if I can't make a few things a bit smoother.

I think it's very important to maintain a clear vision with something like this. If you're not careful, it can slip out of your reach, and before you know it, you're not even sure what you're trying to produce anymore. I want to avoid that at all costs.

As for what I have been doing.. Well, a total summary of what I've done? I've got decent and clear visions of things like unit management, kingdom expansion, construction, a decent outline for combat, terrain.. Right now my biggest problem is the best way to deal with player interaction. I do want this game to potentially be multiplayer, because a landmass with only you on it is more than a little dull.

I feel that now's the time for a significant step forward.. I'm just not quite sure what that step is yet. Still, in time.
