Theres still some formalities/confirmations, but I got my final transcript through today that added up to a 70.8% overall mark for my degree in Computer Science. Woo.
My final-year dissertation clocked in at 72% which is probably the defining mark - the whole project accounted for 20% of my degree, so if I'd done any worse then I'd be upper second class instead [oh]
Anyway, its damned good to be out of the education system now. Can't say I ever had much love for Nottingham University but student life was great though!
Also, any regulars to the DX forum probably notice that I haven't been posting much (if at all) recently. Seems I effectively took an unplanned 2 week holiday post-exams/pre-results. That's all over now, so you can expect the spamming to resume shortly...
Oh, and to put something useful in here...
"The Direct3D 10 System" (from the Developer Center) and Direct3D 10 (from here) - two papers written by John Blythe (Microsoft Architect). The second one is pretty lengthy and seems to resemble parts of the API spec/docs in places (not 100% sure though) but both still worth grabbing copies of and having a read through.
The first paper contains a few preliminary performance stats for D3D10's API overhead - which concurs with the "D3D10 will be 10 times faster" comments you might have seen the press throwing around...
I'm off to get a quick power-nap in before I head out to the pub [wink]
