Direct3D Book

Something for you to check out if you've got some spare time:

Richard Thomson (MVP Profile) has been working on a Direct3D book ("The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline") for a few years and you can now get a Preliminary Draft to look at.

I don't think he has a presence here on GDNet (I get the impression he doesn't much like web forums [lol]) but if you've frequented the DirectX newsgroups and mailing lists you'll probably have come across him and his contributions.

Anyway, I've been reading through bits of the draft and it's been both interesting and of good quality. Despite my existing knowledge of D3D I'd be inclined to buy the book when it finally appears - I can't think of any better authors for writing a book on this subject.

Enjoy!

At last!

I've been waiting for this book for a loooooooooong time. I've already eaten the diagrams and samples Rich released from his book earlier; let's see what this draft has to offer!

Thanks for the link. [smile]
