How this Programmer Takes a Break

I'm starting to learn how to model and texture. I have a long way to go until I'm an expert but I'll keep plugging away at it. I haven't been doing much coding aside from web things. It feels nice to exercise the not logic side of my skull.

I'll show you what I've done recently and then I'll creep back into the ground where us trees belong.

It's a low poly PSP. This was a good opportunity for me to work with the Max Unwrap UVW.

This is a facsimile of my wife's guitar. She rocks!! I always wanted a musician chick!

I so wish I had one of these to speed around in. It's a street legal go cart. I think I'm going to make a collection of these since I don't have a real one.

My first human character. Not bad I guess. It is based on the Ninjai web cartoons which recently aired on that G4 used to be Tech TV used to be ZDNet channel.

It's a futuristic mechanical beholder rigged with IK bones. For those of you who don't know what a beholder is. You're lame and you've probably never played D&D. That reminds me. The 2nd D&D movie made me laugh my ass off. Oh and I guess this is about the time I realized I could get some extra advertising by putting my site address on my images.

I'd like to say publicly that I think theme songs for TV poker programs is a BAD idea.

Here is a poker chip set.

I made a golf course driving range.

Take care everyone.

I love the style you did the human character in. You should hold onto that. The PSP looks great, too. Hell, it's all good. Nice work!

Thats some pretty awesome modelling skills. Yet again I'm envious of your technology skills - please pass on the secret of how you're good at everything you seem to do [smile]

Really nice stuff man :)

My only critique is that for your website "ad" on your image, you need to space out the letters more so that it's more readable, and also if possible, try to place it horizontal so I don't have to tilt my head sideways to read the address :)

Thanks Jack. I'm more envious of you than you are of me. [looksaround]

Thanks for pointing that out. That one does need the letters spaced but I'm going to keep it vertical as that seems to draw attention to the letters. [wink]
