This is our first interior map for Malathedra, and probably the style we're going with, but perhaps some additional tweaks.

This is the interior of Fabricated Fortunes:

You've chosen a difficult perspective, and I like the way you are handling it. One suggestion would be to just add some artifacts to the walls. Think of MI:1 --

Obviously more difficult for you to implement with your viewing angle, but perhaps you could add the back walls to make it look more "full"?

Just a thought. Looking good.

I know I've written this before, but that art style is really reminding me of the Little Big Adventure series. It's looking fantastic so far!

My only slight concern is that the character models look slightly out of place in that type of world; they're a bit too realistic looking and don't have the same type of heavy lines that the background art has. However, the character models in Little Big Adventure also didn't have heavy lines and that game seemed fine, so perhaps it all looks good when moving.

Here's a link to a screenshot of a shop in Little Big Adventure (Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure), if you want to see how they did interior walls. I think it works okay without them, but it does add a bit of volume to the store.

Edit: Not sure if I've done something wrong here: the journal doesn't seem to be working properly. Sorry if I've done something stupid!

Nah, the hotlinking seemed to be fine. It was an SQL error chewing up your comments page. I've done that before with badly formatted HTML in my own journal and it took me ages to fix; I didn't want to screw up someone else's journal!
