Just something about my background or personality is driving people off. I doubt it's technical ability, as I've done fine at the few occurances of an actual technical question. I wonder sometimes if I wouldn't be better off letting people think I've had a normal career progression, or never had a problem with a boss, or handled every tough situation brilliantly... Far too honest for my own good.
It's a joke really, since such thoughts are just compensation for failure; a high minded excuse why I am better than others. Eh, after so many failures it can't really be the case that every one didn't care for honesty or missed that I was a good candidate? No.
Leaving my last job it seems will be yet another (my third) catastrophic blunder on my part, made worse by my second, which of course was propogated by my first. I certainly hope it doesn't ruin my marriage, my finances, and my life; though it's looking good for it. A catastrophic blunder a decade (give or take) isn't too bad I suppose. More important I think is that I wouldn't really choose otherwise on any of them looking back. Can't ask more than to make the best choices we can as we get them...
Don't lie. But if they don't ask you a specific question, don't give them a specific answer. And never miss a chance to hilite your experience.
