I finally got back to my computer so I decided to take a few minutes to implement per tile transformation before I go to bed. So, I modeled one of the things that will take advantage of transformations - a wall. In doing so I was reminded that not only do I suck at modeling, I also have no clue how to use Blender. My models are coming out with 3 or 4 materials even though Blender says I only have 1. Anyway, here's a screeny:

Each wall tile uses the same mesh and is transformed and rotated xyz(0.0f, 180.0f, 90 or 180.0f). Yea, my rotation around the Y axis is proof that I'm not thinking things through.

I'm thinking monday would be a good day to get lighting working.

Edit: Also, since really don't feel like rewriting my GUI and learning tons of 3D stuff at the same time, I'm bringing back my old GUI code for this project.

personal release

Living with your parents sucks just for the fact that you have no choice in things. I took time out of working with Raymond on Malathedra to go grocery shopping. I figured "ok, 2 hours at the most and I'll be back." Little did I know that it would take my mom 30 minutes just to pick out a pair of headphones -_-; She turns everything into a life-n-death situation.

Anyway, we get back and they're like "oh, yea. You're babysitting." So, I again I figured "oh an hour or two." Nope, try 4 hours or retarded kids that think they're adults (and their parents let them get away with it -_-.) What could make this worse? The fact that THEY NEVER FUCKING LEFT. Next time they try and pull that bullshit I'm telling them to fuck off. If they don't like it then I guess I'm moving out sooner than I expected.

Oh wait, living with your parents sucks anyway...

Just wait until you have to pay bills. Your forced to have a job (taking your time away), your forced to go buy your own food (which isn't cheap, so that means more work), and there is more. My advice, Suck it up and adapt to the minor bull* that your dealing with now, because once you move out, its all you bro.

No reason to try to grow up so darn fast. Enjoy it while you have it.

Thats my two cents.

Regards,
-Dave

lol, good advise, but it's about time for me to grow up anyway (I'm 19, I'll be 20 in a few months.) Plus, I already have bills (not ~400-800 dollars worth, but it's still on me and if I don't pay I lose my stuff) and I'm working on my third job.

The minor bull tends to pile up really quick like. Everything they agree to do gets passed off to me, I'm expected to be the man of the house (because my dad won't get off his ass and do stuff like mow the lawn, fix the sinks, etc), go EVERYWHERE with my mom (seriously, if I don't she gives me a guilt trip and my dad never goes anywhere with her), and I'll bet you $20 that if I went downstairs right now I'd be asked to do something by my dad. Most likely either make coffee, get him coffee, or make breakfast. 9 out of the 10 times I go down stairs a day, I'm asked by someone to do something, and it doesn't (and never has) matter if I'm doing something. "Oh, hey Donny, you're working on a game that you're under contract for and I'm watching TV. I think YOU should make dinner. I'd hate to miss 10 minutes of my show..."

There's also the fact that I can't spend my OWN money (that I've earned from doing work) without my dad making a comment like "how come you always get..." or "how come you always have money, but I'm broke?" Seriously, it's not my fault that they filled up 28k dollars worth of credit card debt.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I hate my parents, because I don't. But for the last 6 years I've spent 90% of my time around my mom; I think it'd be quite odd if my she didn't get on my nerves. And my dad's laziness just annoys me to no extent (plus, my mom does nothing but complain to me about him.)

Learn to say no. 19 means you are a man, demand the respect your hairy chin deserves. Don't let them treat you like a slave.

Or, you could just be a complete slacker and never do anything but exagerate.

And, $400 - $800? This month my bills came to $2300. And I only have about $1500 in debt, and it's medical, not credit card. Real life sucks; you either get over it and get a job, or you die in a ditch.

lol, I can garauntee you that I'm not exagerating. I also have a job at the moment and I'm looking for a different one (since the one I have doesn't pay much.)

The ~$400-$800 is based on the fact that that is what it's costing my brother each month. My friend pays about $400 more, but he doesn't have a roommate.
