Here's a screen shot of the progress map in the game I'm making with Day Dream.





It's turning out pretty well. I'm also going to post a Flash Black Jack game I wrote on GDS tonight.

That "world map" looks utterly fantastic! That's close to the look I'm aiming for in my games, so I've saved a local copy so I can study that warped perspective look of the buildings and the colour shading.

One tiny thing I've noticed is the round bushes and trees don't seem to have any shading, which makes them look like flat cutouts compared to the other objects.

But it still looks darn impressive, and I hope I can get my art to look like that in the finished product.

I'm not sure why he didn't shade the trees, but I like the way they look. I wish I could take credit for the art work... but I didn't really do anything, aside from giving Day Dream a general idea of what I thought it should look like.
