Why does the image link to your own journal? Anyone who can click on the image link doesn't need to since they're already reading your journal, right?

It links to the main journal thread, so if you wanted to go back from this page after making a reply, you could just click the image.

The <--RAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRR--> that was there before it had the same behavior.

ORLY. I have this thing that I use sometimes; I call it "the back button on my browser." Alternate names include "the back button on my trackball" and "the backspace key on my keyboard." This thing can perform a similar action and it is more convenient.

So there.

After making a reply, you need to press it 3 times to get to the front page. You only need to press the image once for the same effect. And if some link points to one of these threads from outside the journal, the back button may never get you back to the front page of the journal.

You lose.

That might sway me if I didn't prefer to keep the first page in this particular tab's history at a specific page. I find it easier to backtrack to that page rather than closing and re-opening tabs after I've visited too many pages to go back to that home page with the "extended" back command which, for me, is almost as easy to use as the normal back command.

Mine took 2-3 weeks for delivery, so probably around that. You have to ask Salsa to make you one first (in the thread in the lounge).
