It would appear that the stuff on my internet provider's site did apply to us after all. Came home after reading a post that they had sorted out the problem and my internet is like the proverbial off a shovel again.

It's almost worth losing broadband speed for a couple of days just to be re-amazed at how fast it is when you get it back. You get used to it after a bit.

Hopefully thus will be posting about programming again soon. I've asked in the DX forum about installing an older version of the DX SDK so I don't have to ship the latest DX runtime with my games but no-one seems to be answering so I've found a download on MSDN that just says 9.0 - doesn't mention b or c, so I'm going to download that and then see which D3D9.DLL dumpbin says it needs. Might have the wrong end of the stick but you've got to try these things.

Me and her off up the pub in a bit so unlikely to get much productive done tonight but have a nice quiet weekend to catch up now.

Maybe it's just a difference in culture/dialog. Around here that line makes no sense.

Oh yeah - see what you mean. I was actually stone cold sober when I wrote that, which is actually even more worrying [smile].
