Hey everyone!

I pretty much spent today getting the stats keeping stuff working in the game.

Stats
A big part of Angels 22 is the stats system. The stats system keeps track of a whole bunch of stuff that you do in the game, and uses them later to give you special bonuses and medals. One thing that Mark and I have found, is that if we introduce a slight collection aspect to the game, it might encourage more than one play through, with the player wondering what the hell he has to do to earn that damn "Smokey the Bear" medal (although that one may be a little obvious[wink])... Anyways, I put together a little list of some of the stats that the game tracks:

TIME TAKEN
SHOTS FIRED
FUNDS SPENT
DAMAGE INFLICTED
TREES BURNED
CHURCHES DESTROYED
HOSPITALS DESTROYED
DEPLETED URANIUM ROUNDS FIRED
DAMAGE TAKEN
AIRPLANES KILLED
FLAK KILLED
SAMS KILLED
HELICOPTERS KILLED
SHIPS KILLED
SHIPS DISABLED
SUBS KILLED
MISSILES KILLED
NAPALM USED
BUILDINGS DESTROYED
ROBOTS DESTROYED
etc, etc....

Well, that all I have for now, Mark said he was working on an actual weapons select screen, so one of us may post that up tomorrow. Until then, Peace Out!

I've always wondered why games never had that. Good to see you're including it[smile]

Thanks, I always loved games with a little collection in them, like getting all the characters in Timesplitters[grin]

Yeah, theres a picture of it in Mark's journal somewhere...

Thanks for the comments everyone, I know my latest entries haven't been that exciting, but thanks for the enthusiasm!
