Why is it that all the programmers I know (myself included) are nocturnal caffiene junkies? I came to this realization after doing my routine fridge refill (filling it with more COCAINE) just because it was half empty.

Or half full. However you want to put it.

PS: I need more DragonForce songs in my playlist. *rocks out*

I'm nocturnal, but I'm not a caffeine junkie because I don't respond well to it. It doesn't make me alert; it just makes me jittery. Today I tried Red Bull for the first time. It tasted awful, and instead of being tired during the next class, I was tired and twitchy.

Yeah, Red Bull tends to make me weird. The only time I ever drink it is when I bomb it with Jaeger. Jaeger bombs are just... mmm crazah.

But otherwise I have a can or two of coke a day. Seems to keep me awake and bouncing, ya know :3

I'm nocturnal as well, but I don't think I'm a caffeine junky. Does a half-gallon of chocolate milk have a lot of caffeine in it? (Yes, I drink a half-gallon or two of chocolate milk a day.)

That's not to say I don't like caffeine. It's good, I just don't seem to need it lol.

Your fridge isnt half empty - its twice as big as it needs to be ;)

Also, I tend to be more alert in the evening - and I dont often have caffeine (and definately not at night - unless i'm up for 20+ hours).

On an average coding night, I down 3 2-Liters of Dr Pepper or a 12 pack or two, depending on how much work I'm doing. It's gotten to the point now, that more caffeine doesn't affect me, but without it, I'm jittery. >_<

I'm not nocturnal or a caffiene-junkie. My waking hours and caffeine intake are tantalizingly normal. :-O

I tried to only drink 1 cup of tea or coffee a day at work because it's so readily available that addiction would be quite easy... on top about 6 a day now!

They give you free tea at work?! That's bloody awesome.

Where I used to work you were lucky if you got a break to drink your own tea. Even luckier if they didn't beat you with whips while you drank it.

I'm more of a dusk (not sure what the noctural counterpart for dusk is) kind of person. I'm a bit slow in the morning.

And I don't drink caffiene, makes me feel wierd and ready to throw up.

I can stay awake for long periods as well, so I can be nocturnal if I want to.
Just don't expect any flying starts in the morning.:P
