In my current path tool each path is stored in it's own file, and the editor lets you open multiple paths at the same time. They're all displayed on top of each other so you can get an idea of how they all behave in relation to each other (you can see this in the screenshot just below).
However, the Eclipse way of doing things seems to be that the 'editor' (thats the bit that would hold your code when programming) corresponds to exactly one file. So if I carry on with the same method you won't be able to see multiple paths overlaid over each other.
So I see three solutions:
- Don't care, and leave as is.
- Make path files able to contain multiple paths, so they can be displayed and edited all at once
- Do some editor tomfoolery so that they're still in multiple files but actually overlaid on the one editor (which seems to go against the Eclipse UI guidelines).
