Had a pretty tiring weekend. [dead]

Played Mount Lofty in Adelaide. Lost a very tight game in 5 sets. Last set was 2 point difference so yeah, it was close.

Anyway, still working on the movement paths stuff. Got the class design finished, just fleshing out the implementation now.

As an aside, I thought I'd post an inspiring image. Or at least it inspired me. I've had a pretty clear idea of the art style I've wanted to use in my game for a while now. However, when I saw this concept art on garagegames it pretty much summed it up.

Just too awesome.

Unfortunately it looks like the project is defunct (for the moment). I think they moved onto something else. But basically it's a very similar style to what I'd like to see in my project. Lots of "islands" floating around in the air, wierdly-shaped terrains, kinda cartoonish look.

So now you guys can hold me up to ransom if it doesn't end up looking that way [grin]

I really like the style as well. It's mechanically interesting, contains colors that are immediately appealing to the eye, and is exaggerated enough to keep your attention.
