To sum it up, think of it as mixing the darkness of Twisted Metal with the gameplay of GTA: Vice City with a style of Thief! (That doesn't even capture what is on my mind).
Now, I have a question. When you come up with a game design and fill out the template looking for a team, how do you stop someone else from stealing the idea? How much information do you reveal?
It will be a while before I look for a team as I want to solidify this idea and learn some more programming :P
99.9% of the time, nobody is going to bother stealing your idea. Personal game ideas -- no matter how cool they sound to you personally -- don't appeal as much to the reader. Even if they DO try to steal it, the odds of them completing a game identical to yours is minimal. Two people implementing the 'same game' will still both result in vastly different experiences.
I honestly would not worry about it. I intend on putting up my whole design document on the internet for scrutinization, with zero fear of someone stealing my project. [smile]
