The Road to v1.1

Bugs

Yes, as I expected, there are lots of them. The most disquieting one to me is the one that makes guns not fire (it seems to only affect the superweapons, which is abnormal). I'm busy trying to detect this, and prove that I've fixed the issue.

I've fixed other issues (ATI owners can rejoice) and I'll go test some more on a shaderless box before release. I thought I had banged it down, but it looks like writing in the ATI hack code has torn the game back up again. I blame HopeDagger. You should too.

However, it's not like all my time has been spent fixing bugs... some of it has been spent playing my game. [grin]

Next

I don't know. I'm thinking of having a coffee when v1.1 comes out and then retiring to my bag of library code -- I've got a lisp interpreter and map editor to work on!

Omg Hopedagger, wtf?

Seriously though, Ravuya, what are the cheat codes? Remember, sharing is caring!

I don't really have cheat codes. I just played through the game normally to test.

At one point in time there was a key you could hit to test the latest feature I had added -- striking it spawned corpses, pushed you forward through time, set off nail bombs or warped forward a level. Now it's de-activated.

I think you can still use the console to probe the game version, fiddle with runtime variables and run conversations. But I don't really know if the console works on Windows, because the version of SDL I shipped has a weird thing with Unicode.

Oh, I saw 999 in your screeny and thought you had cheat codes. I miss the good old day when games had cheat codes[sad].

No, the survival mode automatically decks the player out with bags of ammo and a couple guns, as well as a couple of ammo points lying around the map.

Of course, then they usually spend all of that ammo in about two minutes...
