In MalykAI news, linkofazeroth found a fairly nasty bug in the game today. He managed to dupe my velocity checking and get his x-velocity upto over 4000 (it just kept increasing at alarming rates.) Since it only happens while falling I THINK I know how to fix it, though only a test will prove so (btw, thanks for all the testing Link!)
I just got done implementing horizontal hazzards, and they work pretty well. I was going to put horizontal springs in, but my sucky system has issues (it only shoots the player about 64 pixels in either direction [sad].)
Some people have been telling me that I need to do away with the in-game editor and do an external editor. Those people are going to be sad because it's not happening. An in-game editor is the best choice for this type of game, IMHO.
Anyway, I think the next on my list is getting moving platforms in. This shouldn't be all that tricky. I'll implement them as enemies that don't hurt the player and they'll move the player when they detect he is on top of them (which the enemy class will support by default, since all enemies need to know when the player is on top of them.)
