My thanks to the people of Exeter

Just spent a couple of days in the lovely English city of Exeter for work and would just like to extend my thanks to the very friendly people, especially those who served me lots of beer on Monday night.

I'd suggest anyone visiting this city in the future perhaps avoid drinking in the Artful Dodger but I'd recommend the Great Western Hotel as a clean and reasonable place to stay.

Absence from home has brought all game development related activities to a halt since I just can't get to grips with development on my laptop. Also, despite having first class train tickets all the way there and back, I was not supplied with a power socket for the laptop. It would appear that only Virgin trains in this country have decided to provide this service.

I'm hoping over the weekend to finally put some mobile enemies into my spaceship game, hack three or four levels together with the half-completed level editor and Notepad, and finally get it stuck up on the Showcase so I can forget about it and make a start on my Mario clone.

I've missed participating on the forums over the last week or so due to other commitments but have had a scan this morning and do not appear to be able to offer any useful input to any threads so thought I'd post a journal entry instead.
