The ground of the level has numerous holes in it, which show through to the other side. It turns out to be a pretty nice graphical effect, which makes up for my inability to draw graphics. I also randomized the floor tiles to make it look, well, less tiled.
Now I have the enemies to work on, and just in time for the weekend! To be honest, I am really looking forward to creating these particular enemies, and seeing if it turns out to be as good a concept as I thought it was.
