Nice little screenshot of the new version of Quill. The red lines are links between nodes, which are the paths for moving. There are nodes in there too, you just can't seem them because I'm zoomed so far out. You can see the terrain as well; it's semi-transparent because of our current system for selecting planes. And then the chunk of water in the bottom right is a plane; it's animated nicely so you can see somewhat of a preview. Soon we'll be adding a free-move camera for an actual preview of the map.

On the left are the properties for the map (node properties and plane properties are shown when you select either of those.)

And above the display area are the radio-buttons to choose the current mode.


The Cool Thing
Sorry, but the screenshots aren't ready yet and won't be for a couple days; but I've decided to hold off and just finish it since it'll be done in like 2 weeks. I'm pretty much putting all of my time into Malathedra, so I'm not getting to work on it much. Anyway, you'll get to see something with in the the fortnight, so check back sometime.


Calling it "the cool thing" is kind of misleading, since some (probably most) people won't find it cool. Oh well, that's the code name I gave it when I started it and I don't like switching code names.

Oh, it's far too late for that. The hype is huge! I smell an E3 booth a-comin' up! [grin]

I think having a mysterious project called "The Cool Thing" fits quite well with the new journal theme, actually.
