Tried to make a program to view MD3's. Only got to basic mesh loading though as I haven't figured out how tags work yet.
I don't think the head is supposed to go there [lol]
Doctor Ravuya tested my test map on his Mac and everything appears to work just fine, so someday Mac users will have something better to play with than Photoshop.
I'll be using FreeDoom as a base for my new project(code named "Escalation") and I'm going to see if I can get permission to use a few MD2 models I've found. I plan to add a few more things to the engine such as water effects, ambient sounds, static meshes and sloping sectors. Basically a mix of Q2 and Doom.
Here are some recent screen shots. They don't really show anything new and I they won't actually be in the game, but I thought it be good to show that the new engine is coming along. Hopefully I'll have those water effects or MD2's in the next entry.
