Yay! It's done! (It would seem)
I now declare Robot City finished. You can expect a demo tomorrow. It was fortold.
I wanted to run an idea here about the use of the money, or "Blocky Bucks", in the game. Right now, they don't do anything. My original idea was that in the finished version, they would give you an extra life once you get 100. This seems pretty lame for an item that is scattered throughout the level, though.
Basically, I'm thinking to have little shop tiles in the game. When the player jumps on these tiles, the game will pause and a little window will come up with different power-ups to buy, and how much they cost. My thoughts right now for this are:
Dr Joe(health up) 25 "Blocky Bucks"
Speed up 50 "Blocky Bucks"
Jet Pack 75 "Blocky Bucks"
Extra Life 100 "Blocky Bucks"
When you buy an item, it will drop out of the bottom of the tile, than you simply pick it up. I figure this would be a better way of using the money in the game. Would this be a good idea to implement?
