Release early, release often?

Sign in to follow this

I originally set myself a target over the weekend of having something finished enough to actually release. However I didn't get much done today so I'm not sure that's going to be possible.

I'm dying to release it though, just to see what people think about it and what they'll make with it. But I'm stuck between releasing something early but incomplete/unpolished or waiting a while and releasing something of a higher standard. I don't want to release something thats rough around the edges and have lots of people try it and never come back to it. :(

I might do an early build for people to tinker with and put that here on the journal, and do a wider release when it's up to a certain standard. Anyone got any thoughts?
