As of 3am today I finished my section of the 'Programming Vertex, Geometry and Pixel Shaders' book project. I then proceeded to get 4hrs sleep before getting up for work and I'm running on a full tank of caffeine fuel today [oh]
In the end I've clocked up 33,411 words over 112 A4 pages (~170 pages in the book I think - hopefully they won't have to cut that down!). Not too shabby for 6 months work [grin]
I'll see about writing up a 'debrief' on my part of the book before I go away on holiday, but suffice to say I'm about 90% happy with what I've produced. Timing considered I'm 99% happy that I've produced good quality within the time allowed.
This weekend will be my first "free" weekend in 6 months - no house hunting, no book writing and just a little bit of packing for my holiday in Seattle. Tonight's plan is to vegetate in front of a film with a crate of beer [smile]
In other news, anyone who reads the the official Windows Vista magazine here in the UK will see my mugshot this month:
The magazine looks like this and costs GBP3.99 should you want to go get a copy. I'll be autographing copies next week.
ooh, I'm an expert
I should get extra commission for publicising our book like this
This is what it was all about - my 78 words of wisdom used to fill some dead space on a page about building a gaming PC [lol]
