3D modelling

Although my base mesh is basically done, there are still a few little details to sort out. I did the eyelids and the inner mouth today. I've never really done teeth before, so this was a learning experience. Now all that's left is to fix some overlapping UVs in the inner lips and unwrap the teeth and hands. Then I can begin mutating this base mesh into distinct characters if all goes well.

I also wrote a few minor UV functions for Wings 3D that should help with unwrapping certain planar objects in my environment like walls. The details and patch are here.

I don't currently have a scene editor, so I'm thinking I may have to write one unless I can find an open-source one that I can modify. So far I've been writing the .scene text files by hand, but I can see that once I start composing large scenes, I'll need a more visual way to position objects. I'm thinking of writing the tool in Python, Tkinter, and OpenGL.
