I've been working on various aspects of the content pipeline. I wrote a custom OBJ importer for Blender that fixes some issues I was having with the standard one. In particular, it splits fgons more intelligently, avoiding sharp angle triangles. I also made some progress on the scene editor, adding an easy-to-control camera and the ability to add new objects and move them around. There are still a few bits of functionality remaining, including saving the scene, projecting objects onto surfaces, object rotations, and some user interface polishing. In the screenshot below, the two white objects are the currently selected ones.

I finished unwrapping the base mesh, and am in the midst of rigging it. As the screenshot shows, there was some corruption of the UVs at some point in the pipeline. I will investigate tomorrow.
