more testing image posting than anything

thats a concept model of a large tanker model that I worked on for about 10 minutes. Working on this reminded me that:
1. I still don't understand what 95% of the buttons on the gamespace interface mean. (why oh why did i go with wacky 3d modeling software?)
2. I suck big donkey balls at 3d modeling, I've really gotta study up on that
3. The "morning" shaders in gamespace make everything look nice, but not real "spacy". They still beat the living crap out of the hlsl shader that i tried to write for my "engine".
4. It's 1:00 in the morning, why am I still up?

edit: why did I hit reply to publish??? weird.
also that ship looks awful, guess I should stick to more "star-warsy" designs (ie: more chuncky that smooth).

what size picture is considered standard? (my screen is set at 1280x1024, and I shrunk this shot down to 800x600). Is there some kind of journal faq?

I always take my screenshots at about 1/3 size (not sure how I started doing that), but I also generally make them of the "click to enlarge" variety. I imagine most people here are running at LEAST 1280 wide, though there are probably still holdouts in the 1024 camp.

and with 1/3 (of 1280), you can basically fit two wide, if you want.

Them's mah two centz

hmm so you do save a smaller and a full size pic, post the smaller pic, and have it link to the bigger pic?

1280 pixels wide? Luxury! I run my PC on 1024x768 and like it! [smile]

That's what I do for my larger pics. I shrink down a smaller version in the GIMP and link to the original.
