So after digging through the millions of emails I backed up during my downtime (about 99.9% were good old spam [rolleyes]) I found one requesting I fill in some paperwork on what community-related stuff I've been upto as a precursor to hopefully getting my MVP status renewed in July.

Ran a quick search and found out I've made 662 replies in the DirectX forum alone since last July - only 2.27 a day [oh] I guess writing that section of the book really did take a lot of time, my GDNet posts-per-day is usually in the double figures [lol]

Then again, I managed to get C&C Tiberium Wars running yesterday. As I previously complained about, I'd have to TRY to write software as unstable as C&C on my WinXP machine yet its now rock-solid on my 64bit Vista box and chugging away quite happily at maximum detail ([cool]). Could someone remind me which of those two OS's is officially supported by EA??

Courtesy of a nice deadline I had to work all through the weekend, so I'm kicking back and relaxing this week. Maybe I'll get around to my promised D3D10 write-up later in the week...

not to mention non-beta/non-crappy NVidia drivers [smile].

(3rd edit): Good luck with the MVP thing, I bet writing in the book counts like about 10,000 posts.

Ah yes, I only filled that in yesterday too [smile]. Well, "filled in" isn't quite the right word. "Publications: Uhh... None.", "Usergroups: Nope.", Etc etc.

Oh well, we'll see. I really need to write some more articles for my site sometime.

I don't get too stressed about the (re-)award thing, I just keep on going at my own pace and if that ticks the right boxes then great [smile]

Well I'm not sure if it even counts at all as it hasn't been published yet...

Steve - mine was filled in much the same, apart from a few excursions to the MSDN forums I've just been posting on GDNet.
